The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is set to be unveiled at Google's August 2024 Event

Google has just dropped another teaser for its upcoming foldable device, confirming that the second-generation Pixel Fold will be called the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The tech giant gave us a closer look at the device's main display, hinge, and backside, revealing a redesigned camera module.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is also getting a Google Gemini update, which includes generative text capabilities and AI features. The teaser shows the phrase "Oh Hi, AI" displayed on the screen, hinting at the AI's importance in the new foldable device.

One notable change in the design is the camera bump. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have a square camera bump with two rows of lenses, a flash, and a microphone, instead of the slimmer horizontal camera bar seen in the previous model. This new camera design is thicker, making it impossible for the device to lay flat on a tablet.

Despite the longer name, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold promises to deliver larger displays, faster processing, and enhanced AI features, making it a strong competitor in the foldable device market.

Interested customers can sign up for more information on Google's online store. The official unveiling of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, alongside other devices, is set for August 13, 2024, at Google's event.
