Gigabyte's AI TOP 100E: The Durable SSD for AI Training

Gigabyte has recently unveiled its latest series of SSDs, the AI TOP 100E, which are specifically engineered for high-endurance tasks like AI training. The series includes 1TB and 2TB models, both of which come in a standard M.2 2280 form factor.

Exceptional Endurance Ratings

The standout feature of these SSDs is their impressive endurance ratings. The 2TB model boasts an extraordinary 219,000 TBW (Terabytes Written) rating, much higher than the average consumer SSDs. It also has a mean time between failure (MTBF) of 1.6 million hours, showcasing its reliability and durability for demanding workloads.

Performance Specs

While the AI TOP 100E SSDs may not be the fastest on the market due to their PCIe 4.0x4, NVMe 1.4 interface, they still deliver competitive speeds. The 1TB model has sequential read speeds of up to 7,200MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,500MB/s. The 2TB SSD has slightly lower read and write speeds but still promises to deliver exceptional performance.

Though pricing and availability are yet to be disclosed, Gigabyte assures customers of a five-year limited warranty, guaranteeing 109,500 TBW for the 1TB model and 219,000 TBW for the 2TB model.
