The DJI Neo Drone Launch: A Game-Changing Lightweight Drone
Leaked Specs and Features
Drone enthusiasts, get ready for the upcoming release of the DJI Neo, an ultra-portable drone that's lighter than your smartphone! Weighing in at just 135 grams, it's a featherweight compared to the 171-gram iPhone 15.
Despite its diminutive size, the DJI Neo boasts an impressive max flight time of roughly 18 minutes—or 17 with propeller guards. Don't let the short flight time worry you, though. The drone comes with spare 1435mAh batteries and a Two-Way Charging Hub to keep you in the air longer.
Camera Capabilities
The front of the DJI Neo sports a 1/2-inch camera with a 12MP lens, capable of capturing stunning 4K videos at 30 FPS or Full HD at 60 FPS. Just be cautious of the 22 GB storage limit, as there's no option to expand it. With seven flight modes, including Normal, Cinema, and QuickShot functions, you can easily adjust your flying experience to fit your needs.
First-Person View and Distance
The drone also includes a maximum flight distance of seven kilometers, an internal GPS, and supports a first-person view for an immersive flying experience with the necessary DJI Goggles 3 and DJI RC-N3 remote control.
Release Date and Pricing
Everything we know so far points to an August 20 release date, with many YouTubers already reviewing the device. Pricing hasn't been disclosed yet, but additional propeller guards are rumored to be around $15 each.
